My Week 1 of Term 2 was pretty standard I mainly did Maths, Reading, Writing, PE along with Arts and Baking. For Maths I was doing Mathletics and started my moneytime account, which was fun for me and my mother. For Reading I continued reading the book my teacher gave me, as well as doing chapter reviews on my blog, and sharing what happened in the story to my parents. For Writing I was editing my Tupaea piece of writing to make it more detailed, so it looks like it was actually published and so it can go on the wall. PE I was doing cardio workouts and going on my exercycle and the rowing machine. My least favourite exercise was planking and what I enjoyed was the Dumbell exercise.  For Art I was drawing Anime characters, sketching and colouring shown at the bottom. Baking we made red velvet cupcakes.

Hello my names Nikita I have been on Quarantine for the past 4 weeks and I am one of the many people in the world that's in Quarantine... The positives of Quarantine are Not being late to anything not needing to get on the bus in the morning and spending more time with family. Not being late to anything is a huge relief to me because of all the afterschool activities I use to do now all I need to worry about is being on time for online school and being ready for Online St John since that's one of my afterschool activities I am doing. Not getting on the bus in mornings because I don't need to wake up at 6:30 am and leaving to my friends at 7:30 in the morning. And spending more time with my family is fun because I actually am spending more time with my Mother/My Homeschool teacher!

The downs are doing School work inside my house because it has been a weird experience, in the mornings I use to dread going to school and for me my house was like the only place I got to rest from all the school work throughout the day but now all I want to do is leave my new prison cell and go to school I am going insane! And just like many other kids I had a fun social life where I would hang out with my friends at school but now, i've just been having calls coming through 24/7 so I hardly get a break anymore! All i'm doing nowadays is wake up, Get ready, Do school, Finish school, Have some free time, Bed and then repeat.

So Quarantine is fun but there is some downsides I am looking forward to school restarting but am also happy I get to spend more time with my family at home.

Term One at Gisint

My Highlights of Term 1 @ Gis Int

My highlights from term one 2020 consist of Camp, Getting year 7 Student of the week and making new friends. Going to Camp was fun because it was my second school camp ever and I got to jump off the wharf, climb up cooks cove and watch the sunrise and going biscuiting in the river also sharing a tent with my friends. Getting Student of the week was exciting moment for me because it showed me how hard I worked so far in the year. Making new friends was also really fun because I met people from other schools rather than sticking with kids from my old school.

Chapter Review

Phantom of Terawhiti by : Des Hunt

Today I did my chapter review on the book Phantom of Terawhiti by Des Hunt. Including questions like How much I read, The characters, What important events, When and where it happened. What I enjoyed was Reading the book. What I think ill do next time is read a bit more so then I can write more on to the pages. anyway I would 10/10 rate this for someone else to read so far!

Some things are not what it seems...

Today we were learning how to make a app on not getting trapped on phising (pronounced fishing).
I liked doing the code because it was a new experience.
I found the changing the code all the time annoying.
Next time I will try to do it on scratch since that was a option.
If you were to try this maybe try a few questions before adding like 15.

Scratch good commenting (Work in progress)

Today we were making a Good blog comments post with Scratch and our characters we created!
The coding was my favourite part of this!
The hardest bit was probably trying to figure out how smooth this would run without a mishap happening.
Next time I will try to complete it before I post it out into the public but oh well.

Pic collage Hamster

We were learning about Collages, how to be smart with media, learning algorithm for creating a collage etc. What I enjoyed was creating my creature. What I found challenging was trying to create something like a Russian Dwarf hamster and having to restart over and over again. Next time I may choose a easier creature so I can try and finish it...
